Birnam Arts

The Project 

Birnam Arts is a vibrant arts centre with the wider community at the core of what they do and what they offer in theatre, visual and musical arts. 

They needed a new website that supported their focus on community offerings and donations to ensure the centre could continue is contribution to the world of art, whilst providing the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and workshops for the local area to learn, develop and express their creativity. 

Following a tendering process Liberty Engine was delighted to work in partnership with Graphic Designer and Branding specialist Jane Boyes of New Colours Made. Jane designed a new and modernised logo, motion graphics and branding themes. Liberty Engine was appointed to turn Jane's sophisticated designs into a fully functional and dynamic website with accessibility and usability at the fore front of the project, all whilst creating a digital presence that would enhance customer engagement and ticket sales.   

What We Did 

We developed front end code to create the new look and feel per the new website design and to reflect the upgraded branding, designed by Jane Boyes at New Colours Made.

This developement was strictly inline with the new brand guidelines, whilst maintaining a light weight code for efficency of site speed and to provide a seamless user experience. 

Liberty Engine also created a bespoke Content Management system for the running of events and exhibitions at Birnam Arts. We implemented an integrated Ticket Office where event staff could create multi event types, including single entry events, workshops and classes and Art Exhibitions. The flexibility of the ticket office allowed for event categories and teired pricing structure to meet the various needs of third party event strategies. 

The Outcome 

Birnam Arts committee and staff were delighted with the multi function of their website, Ticket Office and CMS and how this improved their daily operations as a venue for multiple types of arts and events.

The system has offered flexibility to allow the team to adapt to the demands of the business whilst offering in depth statistics on performance of sales, traffic and attendance.
